How Dynasty Trade Values Are Calculated

The dynasty trade value calculator assigns every NFL player and draft pick a score between 0 and 10,000. Values aggregate consensus data from the dynasty community — sourced from Keep Trade Cut, FantasyPros, Dynasty Nerds, DLF, PFF, and FantasyData. Each score reflects a player's long-term dynasty worth: production history, age, positional scarcity, team situation, and projected output over multiple seasons. Ja'Marr Chase scores 9,500 because he combines elite production with youth (age 25) at the WR position. Derrick Henry scores 3,800 because age (31) limits his remaining dynasty window to 1–2 productive seasons.

Dynasty Trade Value Calculator Features

This dynasty trade value calculator provides 6 features that turn raw values into actionable trade analysis. Values alone tell you what a player is worth. These features tell you what a trade is worth — accounting for format, scoring, stud premiums, and draft capital.

Stud Adjustment Algorithm

One elite player is worth more than the sum of several average ones. The stud adjustment adds an 8% bonus to the top asset when valued at 8,000+ and 4% between 6,500–7,999. Sides with 4+ assets take a depth penalty. This mirrors how real dynasty trades settle.

Superflex & 1QB Values

QBs shift by 2,000–2,600 points between superflex and 1QB. Toggle formats to match your league. RBs and WRs see smaller shifts. The biggest impact is on QB trade evaluations.

Dynasty Trade Values Across Positions

Trade values shift by position in dynasty leagues. Wide receivers hold value longest because they produce into their early 30s — Ja'Marr Chase, Puka Nacua, and Justin Jefferson all sit above 8,800. Running backs depreciate fastest — most peak between 23 and 27, then drop a tier within two seasons. QBs carry the highest ceiling in superflex (Jayden Daniels at 9,800) but drop 2,000+ points in 1QB formats. Tight ends vary widely based on target share — Brock Bowers (7,800) scores double the value of veterans like George Kittle (3,800). Use the pick explorer to see where draft picks land relative to these positional values.

The 0–10,000 Dynasty Value Scale Explained

The dynasty trade value calculator maps every asset to a 5-tier scale. Elite (9,000+) covers franchise cornerstones you build a dynasty roster around. Star (7,500–9,000) includes top-tier starters who anchor your lineup. Starter (5,000–7,500) covers reliable weekly options worth rostering. Bench (3,000–5,000) holds depth pieces and aging veterans. Stash (below 3,000) contains lottery tickets and end-of-roster players. This tier system helps you evaluate trades at a glance — when a trade crosses tier boundaries, it's usually worth a closer look at the numbers.

Using Trade Values to Guide Your Dynasty Strategy

Dynasty trade values serve as a baseline for every roster move. Rebuilding teams should sell players whose values will decline — aging stars in the 6,000–8,000 range — and buy young assets whose values will grow. Contending teams should target players at peak value and accept slight overpays for championship-level production. Balanced teams should hold assets with stable values and avoid trades that move sideways. Use the strategy toggle to see how value distribution changes based on your roster approach.

Rebuild mode: Stack young players and future picks. Trade away aging veterans for draft capital. Target players under 24 with upside and accumulate 1st-round picks for the next 2–3 years.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about the dynasty trade value calculator

What does a dynasty trade value of 9,000 mean?

A dynasty trade value of 9,000 means the player sits in the Elite tier — the top 5% of all dynasty assets. Only franchise cornerstones like Ja'Marr Chase (9,500), Bijan Robinson (9,200), and Jayden Daniels (9,800 SF) reach this level. A 9,000-value player is someone you build a dynasty roster around and only trade if the return includes multiple high-value assets or an equivalent Elite-tier piece.

How do dynasty trade values differ from redraft values?

Dynasty trade values account for long-term worth across multiple seasons. Redraft values only measure one-year production. A 23-year-old WR with 1,200 receiving yards carries much higher dynasty value than a 31-year-old with the same stats because the younger player has 5+ productive seasons ahead. Dynasty values factor in age curves, positional scarcity, and career trajectory — redraft values ignore all of these.

Why does the same player have different values in Superflex vs 1QB?

Quarterbacks carry different trade values in superflex vs 1QB because superflex leagues let you start a QB in a flex spot. This doubles QB demand, which inflates their prices. Jayden Daniels scores 9,800 in superflex but 7,200 in 1QB — a 2,600-point gap. Non-QB positions shift less between formats. Wide receivers and running backs move by only 200–300 points because their demand stays stable regardless of the flex slot rules.

How are dynasty trade values sourced and updated?

Dynasty trade values come from aggregating consensus data across 6 platforms: Keep Trade Cut, FantasyPros, Dynasty Nerds, DLF, PFF, and FantasyData. Values update after the NFL Draft (new rookies), free agency (player situations change), injuries (long-term value shifts), and mid-season performance changes (breakouts and busts). Between updates, values reflect the most recent dynasty community pricing.
